Chuck

The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz and director McG (We Are Marshall) bring us Chuck, a new series laced with humor about young twenty-something spies.

Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect) plays Chuck Bartowski, a nerdy computer tech who has a database of government secrets downloaded into his brain. Chuck soon finds himself recruited by John Casey (Adam Baldwin), a veteran NSA Agent, for espionage work with his new partner (and first date in ten years) Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) - leading Chuck to live a split life of computer geek and secret NSA missions.

Sex and The City

Carrie Bradshaw writes a column about sex and relationships in New York city. With three of her closest friends: Samantha Jones, who owns her own PR firm and is more interested in exciting "one-nighters" than long-term relationships; Miranda Hobbes, a cynical lawyer who prioritizes her career over her erratic lovelife, and Charlotte York, an art gallery curator who is a bit prudish when it comes to sex, but hasn't yet lost her faith in finding true love.

Based on the bestselling book by Candace Bushnell, "Sex and the City" revolves around the lives of four young professional women in search of the perfect relationship...and orgasm!

The Suites Life of Zack and Cody

Being raised by a single mother who's a hard-working performer could easily be a lonely or difficult situation for some kids. But it makes for THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK AND CODY (played by twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse).
When their mom lands a singing gig and they get the keys to a suite high in the sky, it's an invitation to party and run amuck around the swanky Tipton Hotel. The boys are occasionally chapperoned by cute candy counter girl Maddie (Ashley Tisdale), who also fills the role of babysitter.
Zany situations keep the boys busy; in one episode, for example, the preteen beauty pageant comes to town, giving the twins plenty of opportunities to cruise the pretty girls. "If I guess your name, do I win a kiss?" is an example of one pick-up line a twin lays on an unwitting contestant.
Meanwhile, the adults are busy parrying with one another, trading insults like they're greetings. And the hotel owner's daughter, London (Brenda Song), does her best to play a preteen Paris Hilton, swimming in vast material wealth and reveling in her ability to procure the goods.
The show's premise could allow for some soulful moments, but the series errs on the side of the boys' fun life. Cheesy lines and predicatable circumstances are plentiful, but kids love the video-game lifestyle the boys live -- jumping in elevators and hiding on a passing luggage cart to escape trouble, and so on.
While there are always more compelling programs for kids this age to enjoy, the popularity of the twins has proven that they'll be blaring on your TV screens well past their tween years.

Desperate Housewives

About nine years ago on a sunny day in the loveliest of suburbs, in a town called Fairview, housewife Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) decided to end it all. Now she takes us into the lives of her friends, family and neighbors... Her circle of girlfriends on Wisteria Lane includes Bree Hodge (Marcia Cross), the owner of a thriving catering business and on the verge of publishing her first cookbook; Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), who struggles with raising troublesome teenaged boys who have an affinity for breaking the law; Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), a single mom who is on a never-ending quest for love; the ex-model turned housewife Gabrielle Solis, who finds herself chasing after two daughters and looking drastically different from the model she once was. The ladies have welcomed the now single Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany), who lived on the street once before when Mary Alice was alive, into their small, tight-knit group. However, their disdain for their prodigal neighbor, Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), remains.

Joining the neighborhood is Edie's new husband, Dave (Neil McDonough), who has his share of secrets. And finally there is the gay couple, Bob (Tuc Watkins) and Lee (Kevin Rahm), who moved from the city for a more quieter, peaceful life.

From her unique vantage point, Mary Alice sees more now than she ever did alive, and she's planning to share all the delicious secrets that hide behind every neighbor's closed door in this seemingly perfect American suburb.

CSI (Crime Scene Investigation)

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an American crime drama television series that trails the investigations of a team of Las Vegas forensic scientists as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and other crimes. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and is filmed primarily at Universal Studios in Universal City, California. The pilot episode was first broadcast on October 6, 2000, and eight seasons have been aired. CSI currently airs on Thursdays, at 9PM on CBS. In Canada, the show airs on CTV at 8PM.

CSI is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Productions, which became CBS Paramount Television in the fall of 2006. Formerly a co-production with the now-defunct Alliance Atlantis Communications, that company's interest in the series is now owned by investment firm GS Capital Partners, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs. CBS Paramount acquired AAC's international distribution rights to the program.

The show has been heavily criticized—almost since its debut—by police and district attorneys, who felt CSI portrayed an inaccurate image of how police solve crimes, and by the Parents Television Council, who noted the level and gratuitousness of graphic violence, images and sexual content seen on the show. Nevertheless, CSI became the most-watched show on American television by 2002. The success of the show encouraged CBS into producing a franchise, starting in May 2002 with the spin-off CSI: Miami and then again in 2004 with CSI: NY.

The show is now in syndication and reruns are currently broadcast on Spike.

CBS renewed the show for a ninth season, which began airing on October 9, 2008. With the departures of William Petersen and Gary Dourdan, the ninth season stars new characters Lauren Lee Smith and Laurence Fishburne. The character of Lady Heather will return in episode 905 and The Miniature Killer will return in episode 907.

As of the Fall of 2008, CSI commands an average cost of $262,200 for a 30-second commercial, according to an Advertising Age survey of media-buying firms.
